Getting from the city to Kawah Putih (South Bandung)

• How: Private car charter 
• Price: ~SGD45 (10 hours, inclusive of driver and petrol costs only)
• Duration: ~3 hours from the city to Kawah Putih (also known as White Crater)

Our driver, who was more like a local guide, brought us to this scenic place for lunch.

Veggies + eggs + tempeh. These deep fried tempehs were really good!!

Fish and rendang.

My own nasi campur – rice + other dishes.

Verdict: Not for fussy eaters.
We didn’t order from the menu so I can’t comment on that. We ordered from the food on display instead.

Food isn’t fantastic – don’t expect restaurant standards. It’s more of a local food spot inside a nice structure. Food is decent but note that it may be served cold. Food was alright for me — I’m not picky — but you’ll be experiencing part of the local life.

Verdict: Not worth it all.

In all honesty, I only wanted to do it for the pictures. I can’t recall how much we paid for this but it’s charged by weight. Blackberries weren’t sweet. Strawberries were alright but just not worth the price. If you have never picked strawberries before, go ahead. If not, save your money and buy a Magnum.

Alright, enough content for a post. Next up, my first ever glamping experience in Legok Kondang and dinner in a nice local restaurant.
