Rest day.

What a lazy day today has been. Set up the blog and finally brought over the posts from the Tumblr page! This WordPress is now raring to go.

Breakfast in bed - yoghurt + granola bar.

Finished the whole roll of Ritz crackers cause I was starving but I didn’t feel like leaving the hostel. Took that as my lunch. I’m glad I had good foresight to buy that yesterday.

The roommates came back to the room in the afternoon to laze around. Seems like I’m not the only ‘bored’ one.

Eventually decided to move my ass at 5.30pm. Stuffed 200baht in my pocket and left with my keys and phone. First time I wasn’t using my Crumpler slingbag!

Walked STRAIGHT to Chicken Bar and ordered a Chicken Pad Thai before I sat down. The price is a little on the higher end – 60baht – but it’s pretty yummy and they give a good portion. I usually pick out the beansprouts but this time I ate it willingly.

First proper meal of the day.

Peanuts!
Peanuts! Told the owner it was nice and I loved it. She thanked me and said she was proud. So cute.

My view from inside the bar. It had a bit of a reggae touch.

Sat around a little before heading to the food stalls to kill time. I wanted to catch the Clock Tower light show at 7pm. I had about an hour to kill.

Cheap fruits! 10baht each.

One of the food stalls. Essentially it's just like a wet market in Asia.

There's a funny story about these eggs that my friends amd I share.

I saw a couple of Mormons doing their mission! Ever since the conversation 2 days ago, I’ve been slightly more intrigued about their religion and culture. Shall go find an e-book to read about that.

Went over to the Night Bazaar to kill even more time. Was hunting for postcards but it seems like only one stall sells them and it costs 20baht! No way am I paying so much for a postcard, especially having bought one at 5baht in Chiang Mai. I’ll continue looking.

Went to 7-11 to grab a drink. Bought this Yakult equivalent probiotics drink. Everytime I come to Thailand, I'll have it at least once. If you have problems pooping, drink this. You'll be sure to go.

Looked at the time and decided to catch the light show at 8pm instead, when it’d be darker and nicer for photos. Walked up and down and up and down the places I’ve been to many times. Went down unknown paths and finally 8pm came.

Seeing the Clock Tower in a different light.

The light show lasted about 5 minutes where music was playing and the Clock Tower was a different color every few seconds. You can check out the short video I have on my Instagram: @bedforone

I’m going to watch some shows now. I maxed out the 1.5GB high-speed internet and the connection is now slower.

Expenses:
60 – chicken pad thai
20 – watermelon, pineapple
20 – probiotics drink
Total: 100baht (~4.10SGD)

I think I saw the same girl I roomed with in Chiang Mai – the one who teared over a boy. Pretty positive it’s her. What a small world.

I’ll go find some sights to walk to for tomorrow. Oh. I just remembered. I forgot to collect my bikini top from the laundry area. My stomach’s making a bit of a protest now. I think it’s the Yakult-equivalent that I gulped down just now.
