Tolaga Bay Wharf – NZ’s Longest Wharf 🇳🇿

Tolaga Bay Wharf

Got around to chatting with a staff at the gas station when we were heading to Gisborne and she suggested we head to Tolaga Bay Wharf.

Seemed like a pretty interesting thing to see New Zealand’s longest wharf; might as well since we were nearby!

Opened in 1929; lots of restoration has been done to preserve it.
Pretty sights.
It’s about 660m in length; takes about 30mins to walk to the end and back!
Tracks to help with the loading/ unloading of cargo.
Huge!
Sleeping everywhere I go.

Checked into a holiday park in the evening, one which we booked only a couple of hours beforehand. Took this time to make use of the recreation room, recharge, and decided on going rock sliding the next day!
